The College of Engineering and Computing is currently searching for an undergraduate Student Design Technician to work up to 20 hours per week. The selected candidate will support and maintain laboratory equipment utilized for student design projects and will work closely with all student design facilities.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Assist undergraduate and graduate students with design projects
  • Operate equipment used by student design teams to include: oscilloscopes, power supplies, 3D printers, and CNC machines
  • Assist students in the proper use of lab equipment to include: oscilloscopes, power supplies, 3D printers, and CNC machines
  • Work with staff and student employees to ensure proper functioning of student design facilities

Education/Skills required:

  • Minimum 3.0 GPA
  • Previous experience with oscilloscopes, power supplies, 3D printers, and CNC machines preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Basic knowledge of power tools and equipment
  • Ability to understand and execute oral and written instructions
